Although my video for this assignment is a bit comical, I believe the message it sends out is honest and worth taking note of. The Everybody Hates Chris TV show is a comedy of course, but I've seen many teachers use it as a learning tool or discussion opener in their classes.
Chris gets a new principal. His first encounter with the principal is on the playground as Chris is being beat up by Caruso and his crew. The principal instructs the two of them to meet him in his office when they're "done."
The new principal obviously wanted what was best for Chris, but he never really listened to what Chris had to say about the situation. He believed that he knew what was best for Chris, and offered a solution to the problem based off of his evulation of the needs of both parties....Sound familiar anyone?
